With the construction of new facilities and renovation of existing facilities, plumbing and fire protection issues must be addressed quickly and effectively to meet the demands of the project schedule.
While most projects rely on water supplied by public authorities, it is of vital importance to understand the availability and relationship to the demand required by the plumbing and fire protection systems.
Progressive employs plumbing designers and engineers with experience in domestic water, sanitary, natural gas and fire protection systems. Typical work in these areas involve:
- Domestic water booster pump systems
- Back flow prevention
- Hot water generation and distribution
- Sanitary sewer design with invert elevations
- Indirect waste handling
- Fire pumps
- Hose stations
- Fire protection zoning
- Double interlocked pre-action systems for critical areas such as computer rooms, elevator machine rooms and elevator shafts or hoistways
Due to ever evolving codes and regulations, elevator machine rooms and shafts or hoistways present an area of fire protection which to date has been overlooked. While many of these new codes and regulations have not been adopted or have been in a limited capacity, high-rise buildings will soon be affected by these changes. Progressive has experience in providing solutions for these elevator protection issues and offers services to help building owners and managers address these life safety concerns.

Almeer Control System Technical/Services Support Centre in Kuwait has been operational since 1992 and is presently equipped with
- Full Training Equipment comprising Training DeltaV & RS3 Equipment, Audio/Video Equipment, Conference Facilities, Computers, etc.
- Inventory of spares and all trouble shooting and maintenance tools.
Almeer offers various specialized expert services under flexible contracts including an annual maintenance contract. Almeer-Technical/Solution/Services Support Centre-Kuwait offers the following Services:

In addition to above local services support, we established Kuwait toll-free (number +965-66329901) response center open 24 Hours a day to help customers log in their service requests that connect with Emerson’s Technical Service Support Contacts (for both Systems as well as Products). Customer’s request will be directed to Emerson qualified local service support personnel, who will contact customer to provide you the requisite technical support.
Local Service Contracts
Kuwait Customers has made local Services Agreements with almeer for the Maintenance and Engineering Services of all RS3 / DeltaV systems installed in Kuwait.
Spares Stock
Almeer is maintaining required quantities of spares stock of RS3 & DeltaV DCS hardware as well as limited quantities of SCADA System hardware in the East Ahmadi Facility in Kuwait.
Almeer’s involvement is in almost all activities of the supplied/ installed Fisher-Rosemount systems (RS3 DCS & DeltaV Systems) as well as SCADA solution packages in Kuwait including Preparation of Proposal, Procurement, Project Management, Systems Design / Engineering, Configuration Services, FAT, Installation, Start-up / SAT / Commissioning and Maintenance services. Brief summary of Almeer track record with various Emerson Control System projects, DCS Installed-base modification / expansion projects and SCADA projects in Kuwait are listed in the remaining sections below. Currently Almeer Engineers are involved in the engineering and implementation activities of various DCS integration projects for all Kuwait sector customers.
